Operator Terminal Expert - HMI or simulation display a blank or black screen.
Issue:
After opening a copy of an Operator Terminal Expert project on another computer, when simulating or transferring the project to an HMI, instead of seeing the initial screen, we would just see a blank / black display.
Product line:
EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert (all versions).
Resolution:
The main cause of this problem, a black screen being displayed at runtime, is the usage of user defined images (like a logo) in the project that are missing on the development computer.
There is two ways to resolve the problem:
1- Remove all instances of these missing images from the project.
2- Find the missing images and have them installed on the development computer use to work on the project, and relink them in the project (unless they are installed in the same directory paths as in the original computer).
