Issue
When ION8650 meter is powered up, the display gets stuck on the ION Initialization screen results in loading to the Splash screen.

Meter is shipped from factory with default Template and when it is powered up, the boot procedure starts with the initialization screen which will lead to default display screen:

Cause
1- For some reason, the meter does not have a Template; for example, during the upgrade, the Template was not uploaded successfully. which can lead to the splash screen being displayed:


When connecting to the meter through ION Setup -> Single ION Device configuration mode, the error message 'No template detected' is displayed.

2- Meter has not been powered up with sufficient recommended voltage as stated in installation guide and meter's Display will be stuck on Initializing screen with series of asterisks that are increasing.

3- Meter is stuck in boot loop and initializing state with asterisks that are not increasing and meter just restarts and repeats the sequence again.

Solution
1- Load a template onto a meter, this can be done in ION Setup or Power Monitoring Expert.

2- Connect the meter to the recommended Input Voltage range(blade power) or Control Power(auxiliary) to power up and pass the initializing step.

3- Meter needs to be sent to the factory for repair.
