Report - Multi Device Usage Report - An error occurred while making initial report viewer settings
Issue:
When Generating the Multi-Device Usage Report for a 1-year period in PME 2023, the following error message appears "An error occurred while making initial report viewer settings"

Cause:
A timeout error occurs a few minutes after initiating the report generation.

Resolution:
Database Warning: “This article contains information about editing the database. Please note, editing or updating anything in DB may cause permanent damage and result in PME to function improperly. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Kindly take a backup of the database before performing any such action."
To resolve the issue, perform the following steps:
- Update Report Timeout to 600 seconds in the Management Console.
- Open SQL Server Management Studio(SSMS), navigate to the ION_Network database, and locate dbo.vCFG_ConfigItems table. Modify the following settings:
- BatchReportRenderTimeout = 3600 seconds
- MaxNumberofRecords = 1200000
- WebService Proxy Timeout = 930 seconds
- Perform the following steps:
- Run iisreset in command prompt with administrator mode
- Restart IONAppMod Services
- Clear browser cache
