My Smart UPS Modular Ultra has an Unknown UPS internal error (1568-00B0) or Unknown UPS internal error (156A-00B0) alarm.
Purpose:
If you update your UPS to FW 15.0 or later and you have an SBU (Service Bypass Unit) connected, you may see an Unknown UPS internal error (1568-00B0) or Unknown UPS internal error (156A-00B0) alarm.

All models, all serial numbers on UPS Firmware 15.0 or later with an SBU (Service Bypass Unit) connected.
Resolution:
UPS Firmware 15.0 and greater supports new events for the SBU switch positions. In order to see the correct alarm messaging on the display and NMC, please upgrade the NMC/Display to the latest firmware. See below for FAQs on the different ways to upgrade that firmware.
