What is the purpose of the Curves button in EcoSet Design?
The Curves button provides access to the protection and performance curves associated with the selected circuit breaker, enabling detailed analysis of the protection system.
Using the Curves and Selectivity window, users can:
- Review time-current (I-t) characteristics.
- Analyse coordination between upstream and downstream protective devices.
- Verify protection selectivity and discrimination.
- Adjust and validate protection settings.
- Perform energy let-through (I²t) analysis for applicable breakers.
- Review current limitation (Ip) curves.
The curve view is particularly useful for evaluating protective device behavior under overload and fault conditions, helping engineers verify protection coordination, optimize settings, and ensure reliable system operation.
