Resolution
The AP77XX and AP44XX series Automatic Transfer Switches were designed to be installed horizontally. The effects of gravity on the internal components along with other concerns could prevent the product from operating as specified in other orientations; therefore mounting the ATS upside-down or vertically is unsupported. All units ship with brackets to allow the unit to be mounted horizontally.
