Where should I connect the SZ1RV1202 potentiometer (pot) to the ATV variable speed drives?

The potentiometer part number: SZ1RV1202 must be connected to one of the 0...10 V analog inputs on ATVxxxx range variable speed drives:

  • ATV12 (or ATV11): the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +5 V and 0 V terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1
  • ATV21: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the PP and CC terminals, and the variable point on terminal VIA
  • ATV212: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the PP and CC terminals, and the variable point on terminal VIA
  • ATV312 (or ATV31): the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +10 and COM terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1
  • ATV320: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +10 and COM terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1
  • ATV61 and ATV71: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +10 and COM terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1+ , keeping the link AI1- to com (fitted as default).
  • ATV630 and ATV930: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +10 and COM terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1
  • ATV340: the whole resistance of the potentiometer between the +10 and COM terminals, and the variable point on terminal AI1

Example of connection:

ATV series VSD potentiometer connections
The value of this potentiometer, part number SR1RV1202, is 2.2 kΩ (k ohms).

For most Altivar drives a variable resistor between 1kΩ and 10kΩ is permissible
