What adaptation parts satisfy standard UL 60947-4-1 (Previously UL 508) type E on the GV2P and GV3P?

The adaptation parts to be used so that GV2P and GV3P circuit breakers comply with standard UL 60947-4-1 (previously UL 508) type E are detailed below.


GV2P circuit breakers

  • Order a GV2PxxH7(*) (except 32 A) circuit-breaker.
  • Add a "Large Spacing" adaptor, part number GV2H7. Without this adaptor, the protection will not be certified UL 508 Type E
Note: these parts are not available for purchase in the UK, this is for information only.
*The only difference between GV2PxxH7 and GV2Pxx circuit-breakers is their marking.

GV3P circuit breakers

  • Order a GV3Pxx circuit breaker
  • Add a "Large Spacing" cover, part number GV3G66 (to be placed on the power supply unit)
  • Add a signaling contact, part number GVAM11

GV3P with connection by lug-clamps

  • Order a GV3Pxx6 circuit-breaker
  • Add two IP20 covers, part number LAD96570
  • Add a signalling contact, part number GVAM11


GV4, GV5, GV6 and GV7

Whilst certified UL60947-4-1, these are not certified as self-protected circuit breakers for type E/F motor starters.
