Why the error message pop-up “Impossible due to compatibility (Function List check failed): PL23 in the control expert while opening the application?

If the Control Expert application contains a DFB with protection from “READ” or “READ/WRITE” access using the new “hardened encryption” feature.

If the same application will try to open in Control Expert with the non-compatible version and without the dedicated HF installed the following error message will pop-up.



Note:

• Minimum Control Expert V15 + the dedicated HF ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R is required to have the new DFB Hardened encryption protection feature.
• If the application with the Hardened encryption protection tried to open, using the Control Expert version <=V15 without ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R the error message would appear.
• To solve this make sure the correct version of the Control expert and dedicated HF is installed.
