EcoStruxure Control Expert (ECE) 15: BMXDDI3203 and BMXDDI3232 not available in device catalog

Description
In Control Expert 15, the BMXDDI3203 and BMXDDI3232 input modules may not appear when selecting IO modules. This is because these modules were released after Control Expert 15. Installing a specific HotFix, provided as an attachment, updates Control Expert so the modules appear normally.

Issue
This issue occurs while configuring hardware in Control Expert 15.

• BMXDDI3203 and BMXDDI3232 do not appear in the New Device IO Module list.
• The modules cannot be added to the PLC configuration.
• Hardware setup cannot be completed for projects using these modules.
• Affected version: Control Expert 15.

Resolution
Install the required HotFix for Control Expert 15 to add support for the missing input modules. The HotFix file is attached to this FAQ.

Steps to resolve:

1. Download the attached file ControlExpert_V150_HF_DDI_3232_DDI_3203.zip.
2. Extract the zip file to a local folder.
3. Open ControlExpert_V15_HF_DDI_3232_DDI_3203_ReadMe.mht and follow the instructions.
4. Run ControlExpert_V150_HF_DDI_3232_DDI_3203.exe to install the HotFix.
5. Restart Control Expert if requested.
6. Validation: Open Control Expert 15 and confirm that BMXDDI3203 and BMXDDI3232 are now available in the New Device IO Module list.
