Understanding the Import Trouble Report in EcoStruxure Control Expert

Issue:

This FAQ explains what will happen in case of trying to import a duplicate DFB, DDT or existing variable.

Product:

EcoStruxure Control Expert v15.x, v16.x (formerly Unity Pro)

Environment:

PLC Configuration Software in Windows

Resolution:

Duplicate DFB:

• Keep: Does nothing and retains the existing DFB.

• Replace: Replaces the existing DFB with the new one. It does not use the New Name; it keeps the original name.

• Rename: Creates a new DFB with the selected New Name.

Duplicate DDT and Variable:

• Keep: Retains the original variable or DDT.

• Replace: Replaces the DDT or variable with a new one. (“-” means this action is not possible.)

• Rename: Creates a new variable.
