They decided to implement a microgrid solution when their energy demand sharply increased following the merger of two distribution centers, and it turned out that feeding energy back into the grid wasn’t possible either.
As both distributor and end user, they took the opportunity to turn their own facility into a reference site for high energy reliability and efficiency in the Netherlands.
