To Install or Uninstall RemoteConnect:
To successfully install or remove RemoteConnect, you must adjust the User Account Control (UAC) settings. Follow these steps:
1. Access UAC Settings:
- Open the Windows Start menu and search for "User Account Control Settings."
2. Adjust UAC Level:
- Set the slider to "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer."
3. Attempt Installation or Uninstallation:
- Once the UAC setting is adjusted, try installing or uninstalling RemoteConnect, SCADAPack x70 Device DTM, or SCADAPack CommDTM.
Resolving the "Set_AdminRequiredError" Issue:
If you encounter the "Set_AdminRequiredError" message during the uninstallation process, please follow these steps:
- Adjust UAC Settings:
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 from the previous section.
- Restart the Uninstallation Process:
- After adjusting the UAC settings, restart the uninstallation process for RemoteConnect, SCADAPack x70 Device DTM, or SCADAPack CommDTM.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully install or uninstall the desired software.
