Yes, if the ACSC sees the HP switch open, it will switch into idle mode and then attempt to restart after a 2 minute delay. If the unit had the HP switch open three times within 30 minutes, the ACSC will go into Persistent High Discharge alarm and will lock out the compressor. This alarm will need to be reset manually.
