ION8800 firmware v351

Firmware V351 is a feature enhancement release. It adds support for the new revision of Comm. Card. If your serial number ends in -02 or higher, your communications card supports the new features. New features include the expanded Ethernet connections for the ION8800. In addition to the 10Base-T connection, the ION8800 now has 100Base-TX. The 10Base-FL fiber connection has been replaced with a 100Base-FX connection. Additional data recorders have been added to the A and B variants of the ION8800 meter. This increases the number of data recorders from 50 to 64 for the A variant and from 40 to 50 for the B variant. In preparation for upgrading your meters firmware please download the latest firmware version (.upg file) and the appropriate Meter Template (.dcf file). ION Setup (freeware utility) is the recommended tool for the firmware upgrade process. See the Upgrading ION Device Firmware technical note for complete details. ===================== NOTES: * Two versions of firmware are available below namely: V351e with IEC 61850 implementation, and; V351s without IEC 61850 implementation. * IEC61850 is supported with the consequence of a reduction of the available logging memory. If you upgrade a 10MB meter to use IEC 61850 firmware (V351e), the meter’s logging memory will be reduced to 5MB. If the meter is subsequently loaded with non-IEC 61850 firmware (V351s), the meter’s original logging memory will be restored.
