Issue:
How to set the comms address on a Micrologic Ammeter or  Energy trip unit?

Product Line:
Micrologic  5.2A, 5.2E, 5.3A, 5.3E, 6.2A, 6.2E, 6.3A, 6.3E trip units

Environment:
Powerpact H, J and L
Modbus Interface Module IFM part number STRV00210 or LV434000

Cause:
Cannot set comms address on the trip unit

Resolution:
The comms address is set on the Modbus Communication Interface Module (IFM) with blue dials.  The IFM is external from the breaker and is mounted on a DIN rail.
This module, required for connection to the network, contains the Modbus address (1 to 99) declared by the user using the two rotary switches in front. It automatically adapts (baud rate, parity) to the Modbus network in which it is installed. It is equipped with a lock-out switch to enable or disable operations involving writing to Micrologic trip unit, (such as reset, counter reset, setting modifications, device opening and closing commands). There is a built-in test function to check the connections of the Modbus communication interface module with the Micrologic trip unit and front display module.
