Do we have a solution to dim (or tone down) the light of our Led blocks ZBVGxx (120VAC and ZBVMxx 230VAC), for application on boats?

Facts and Changes

Dimmer

ZBVG

Causes and Fixes

Several dimmer solutions were tested on protected led block ZBVGxx 120VAC and ZBVMxx 230VAC :
1- Dimmer based on SCR (thyristor or triac) does not work properly, because of the technology that is used for the AC led block.
2- Dimmer based on a potentiometer connected in series as adjustable resistor works better but not enough.
3- Dimmer based on a potentiometer connected as divider bridge works properly from min. to max. lighting. This is the recommended solution.
The suitable value for 230V is 47Kohms
The suitable value for 120V is 22Kohms
The power of the component depends on the quantity of Led that are connected in parallel. For one led the power is 1.5W...
P= 1.5W x n(led)
