The kVAR (Reactive Power) and PF (Power Factor) readings are incorrect when using Transformer Line Loss - Method 2 on the ION8600, ION7650, or ION7550.

Goals and Symptoms

After enabling the transformer line loss method 2, kW (Real Power) and kVA (Apparent Power) read correctly, however kVAR and PF are reading much lower than the uncompensated meter.

Causes and Fixes

This can happen if the incorrect values are put into setup registers %LVFe and %LVCu for method 2. These 2 parameters are mainly used in the calculation of compensated kVAR.
