How does the ATV630 Process drives stall function work?
Issue:
How to set up stall function on the ATV630 Process drive?
Resolution:
- The output frequency is below the configured [Stall Frequency] (StP3).
- The output current is above the configured [Stall Current] (StP2).
- These conditions persist for longer than the configured [Stall Max Time] (StP1).
Example
Configuration:- StP3 (Stall Frequency) = 10 Hz
- StP2 (Stall Current) = 100% (motor rated current)
- StP1 (Stall Max Time) = 5 seconds
- If the drive operates at 9.9 Hz and the motor current exceeds the rated current, an StF (Motor Stall Error) is triggered after 5 seconds.
- If the drive operates at 10.1 Hz, the stall condition is not met and no StF error is triggered, even if the motor current exceeds the configured threshold.
