How can we help you today?
How do you create Private Dashboards?

Issue:
End User would like to make a dashboard that can only be seen and edited by the creator only.

Product:
Power Monitoring Expert 8.2
Power Monitoring Expert 9.0
Power Monitoring Expert 2020
Power Monitoring Expert 2021
Power Monitoring Expert 2022
Power Monitoring Expert 2023

Environment:
PME Web Applications

Resolution:
To make a dashboard private you must check the box for the “Private Dashboard” under the Dashboard Controls. You can view the picture below to see where this checkbox is located.

PME Dashboard view

When this box is checked, this makes it private to the account being used and cannot be edited or seen by anyone else. Administrators continue to have access to everyone's dashboards to view, edit, and delete, irrespective of this Private Dashboard setting.

The process is explained further along with creating Dashboards here: Adding a new dashboard (se.com)
