What is the status of the M580 Safety after a warm and cold start?
Issue
The M580 Safety has the option to "Automatic start in run" as standard CPUs and customers want to know what is the consequence of this operation mode for the Process and Safe part.

Resolution
The chart below shows the operation mode after warm start (power cycle) and after a cold start (reset button on PSW):

Power cycleWarm start.
Variables restored with values.
Tasks state restored in run or stop, according to state previous to power cycle.
All tasks wait for one Mast cycle (in run) before running (tasks displayed with Disable state).
Warm start.
Variables rset to initial value.
Safe task stopped except if "automatic start in run" checked. Safe task waits for one Mast cycle (in run) before running (task displayed with Disable state)
Reset button on PSWCold start
Variables set to initial value.
Process tasks stopped except if "automatic start in run" checked.
Cold start
Variables set to initial value.
Safe task stopped except if "automatic start in run" checked.

P.S.: You can access the CPU debugging screen to enable/disable a task.
