What is the RSSI Threshold for the Trio JR900 radios?

The user‑configurable RSSI Threshold does not have a published minimum or maximum value.

For reference, here are the receiver sensitivity levels (BER 1×10⁻⁶):

512 kbps: –92 dBm
256 kbps: –102 dBm
128 kbps: –104 dBm
64 kbps: –106 dBm
For reliable SCADA performance, the manual recommends operating with ~25–30 dB of margin above the sensitivity level.

A simple method to choose an RSSI Threshold is:

Select your RF data rate.
Note its sensitivity value.
Add ~25 dB to determine a strong operating level.

Examples:

256 kbps: –102 dBm + 25 → ~–77 dBm → set threshold around –78 to –75 dBm (consistent with the manual’s –80 dBm example).
512 kbps: –92 dBm + 25 → ~–67 dBm → use –70 to –65 dBm if operating at full 512 kbps.
