The BMXNOC0401.2 is the same physical hardware as the BMXNOC0401 but includes firmware version 2.01 or higher, which unlocks additional features. You should select the module variant based on the capabilities supported by your CPU and the firmware on your physical NOC module.

Key differences:

• Email Service (SMTP): Available only on BMXNOC0401.2, allowing the PLC to send email notifications using the SEND_EMAIL block.
• Network Time Protocol (NTP): Only BMXNOC0401.2 supports NTP time synchronization.

Requirements to use BMXNOC0401.2:

• Your CPU must be a BMXP342..... model (e.g., BMXP3420302).
• The physical NOC module must have firmware v2.01 or newer.

Behavior if the wrong variant is selected:

• Selecting BMXNOC0401.2 without meeting the above requirements results in a compatibility error or download failure.
