Cause
There are three different phases that the control power can possibly be connected to

Failure to follow the instructions / warnings in the Meter Installation Guide can result in permanent damage to the meter, severe injury or death.

Energy Meter:
Control Power voltage is derived from Phase A to Neutral.
The Energy Meter (Basic and Extended Range model) is designed to monitor single or 3 phase wye connected configration. It does not support delta systems.

Enercept Meter:
Control Power voltage is derived from Phase A to Neutral. If there is no Neutral, the voltage is derived from Line to Line (Phase A to B).
