Issue:
How can I clear the FWUP?

Product Line:
Altivar 6xx and 9xx Process Drive (ATV630, ATV930, ATV650, ATV950, ATV660, ATV960, ATV680, ATV980)

Environment:
All serial numbers for Altivar 6xx and 9xx Process Drive

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:

"FWUP" is not a fault code it is a status of the drive. When the drive is shipped from the factory, it is flashed with the latest firmware version. This procedure is 2-step process from the PC to the drive.
The first step involves uploading the firmware file from a PC to the drive itself. The second process is all done on the drive itself. While the drive is updating its firmware, it will display the "FWUP" message on the upper left corner of the drive. This will normally happen until completion of the process, and then the message should disappear and show "RDY."
If the ESC key is depressed after an update is completed, this message will stay on the screen.
To clear follow instructions on the document attached below.
Before proceeding any further you need to set your Access Level to "Expert Mode."
