Cannot log in to FlexNet Publisher in PME 8.2
Issue
User cannot log in to the FlexNet Publisher web interface in Power Monitoring Expert (PME) 8.2 and receives a “Password is incorrect” message, even when using known credentials.

Cause
In PME 8.2, FlexNet Publisher user credentials may not function as expected due to changes in license server configuration or credential initialization. The FlexNet Publisher web interface and administrator account still exist, but access can fail if the stored credentials are invalid or corrupted.
Resolution
Warning: This procedure involves editing configuration files. Always back up files before making changes.
Use the following steps to reset the FlexNet Publisher administrator password:
- Navigate to:
C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\Floating License Manager\FLEXnet Publisher License Server Manager\conf - Open the
server.xmlfile in a text editor. - Locate the administrator entry and update the password value, for example:
id="admin" lastName="Administrator" password="(ENC-01)AxlKxBaCLbp4iPFsjJ6eOFtE+qoJWH8ThHIKN9DgdEgILS9j" passwordExpired="false" - Save the file.
- Restart the lmadminschneider service.
- Open a browser and navigate to:
http://<SERVERNAME>:8090 - Click Administration and log in using:
Username: admin
Password: admin
