NOTE: When installing PowerChute Serial Shutdown on a Windows system, we recommend allowing the software to auto-search for the UPS.
When installing and manually selecting the UPS model, a Back-UPS is neither Type-A nor Type-B in the installer dropdown list. Select Back-UPS from the drop-down list.
To find your exact UPS model, look on the back or bottom of the UPS for the bar code sticker.
Example of a sticker for Back-UPS model BE900G3:
Below is a list of the prefixes of the support Back-UPS models. The UPS in the image above is supported as its prefix is BE.

Many Back-UPS use cable 940-0127, which is USB A to RJ50
Some Back-UPS units use a standard USB-A to USB-B cable.
