Using Firmware Upgrade Wizard v4.2.1 to update the firmware of SRTL2K2RM1UC, SRTL2K2RM1UNC, SRTL3KRM1UC and SRTL3KRM1UNC from 3.5 to 5.0

Issue:
There is currently an issue using v4.3.X Firmware Upgrade Wizard when trying to update the firmware of your SRTL3KRM1UC or SRTL3KRMI1UC Smart-UPS from 3.5 to 5.0.

Product Line:
Smart-UPS SRTL2K2RM1UC (NC), SRTL3KRM1UC (NC) models

Resolution:
Our Firmware team is currently working on a fix for the next Firmware Upgrade Wizard release.

In the meantime, please use this alternative upgrade to your UPS:

1. Download the Smart-UPS_Firmware_Upgrade_Wizard_v4.2.1.exethat is attached to this FAQ and go through the regular UPS firmware upgrade process.
2. Download SRTL1035UPS_05-0.enc and SRTL1034UPS_05-0.enc firmware files that are attached to this FAQ.
3. Follow the steps outlined in FA27919. When running Smart-UPS_Firmware_Upgrade_Wizard_v4.2.1.exe and browsing for the firmware file, select either the SRTL1035UPS_05-0.enc or SRTL1034UPS_05-0.enc downloaded in step 2, depending on the ID of your UPS. Follow the link the video guide on How to locate the UPS ID for APC Smart-UPS. The Firmware Upgrade Wizard will only allow selecting the appropriate file.
4. Use the USB-A to USB-B communication cable (APC940-0273A) supplied with the UPS, and not the serial cable for the update.
