There are certain differences between the ATV71 & the ATV312:
The ATV71 has the following differences:
1. Wider output frequency range ( 0.1 -1600 Hz ).
2. It can drive asynchronous & synchronous motor, unlike the ATV312 which drives asynchronous motors only.
3. It can withstand a transient torque up to 220% of the nominal torque.
4. it has more than 150 functions, unlike the ATV312 which has 50 functions.
5. It has more analogue & logic I/Ps and O/Ps, with an extra safety input.
6. It can come with an integrated DC choke.
But. performance-wise, both are the same.
