-The "D" type thermal overload relay (LRD) is used for protection of 3-Phase induction motors against over load and as it is a fact that there is no any induction motor of 4 Poles or 3 Poles + Neutral ,so the thermal overload relays are only found in 3 Poles.
- The 4 Pole "D" type contactors are not used with motors. These are used for utilization category AC-1
