The RMD cable for the 73xx series has only been tested at the 6' length.
It is possible to extend it to further lengths, but keep in mind that the further it is extended the larger the energy drop between the meter and RMD is. The RMD is powered across the cable, and the cable is used as a direct access buss, not a transmission line so there are no RS-232/RS-485 style long run level converters, it is a direct logic connection so length is critical.
