You can add the optional serial port (mini DIN) TWDNAC485D on the Twido + use XBTZ968 cable.
I have attached technical note for HMI and twido communication and refer page 6 for connector pin diagram of XBTPM HMI.
In same technote refer from page 15 onwards for interfacing twido and HMI and settings communication paramters.
Well this seems to be a old twido software but in new software you need to configure one Generic HMI as master and then connect it to the second port of TWIDO with 9 pin mini din adaptor and do slave id settings on remote link.
I have attached a snapshot of it . Make sure you configure slave ID as 2.

At last most important thing is communication settings has to be identical and Check if the memory location is declared (used) in the application program.
If its not used and you try to read them inside HMI you wont be able to communicate.
