*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
For PME 8.2 and beyond use the following steps on the application server:
- Open Control Panel
- Select "Uninstall Program" or "Programs and features" depending on the view in Control Panel
- Select Power Monitoring Expert and click the "Change" button or right click on Power monitoring expert and select "Change" from the options
- Click on "Reset Accounts"
- Select Next twice
- Once on the Database Account section Click "Change Password" to set the ION password to desired value
- Finish the installer to finalize the changes

For PME 7.2.2 through PME 8.1 use the following steps:
- Stop all Power Monitoring Expert services.
- Open databasemanager.exe in '...\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\system\bin' folder on the primary server or from Tools inside Management Console.
- Right-click Databases then select Modify Login to open the Modify Login dialog.
- Type your password in the Password field(this must be a SQL administrative password).Click OK.
- From the Login Name dropdown list select ION if it is not already selected. Type the new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Click OK.
- Restart the services.
