Why won't my Smart-UPS RT go to bypass in 240v environment

Issue:

Smart-UPS RT will not go to bypass with 240v input and 208v output

Product Line:

Smart-UPS Online

Environment:

All models, All Serial Numbers

Cause:

Smart-UPS RT units will not go to bypass if the input voltage is out of range. By default the UPS is configured to output 208v. If you are feeding the UPS 240v, the input may be outside of the acceptable range for bypass. In this situation you should configure the UPS to also output 240v. You are able to configure the acceptable range for bypass operation and UPS output voltage via the Network Management Card. Please note that the UPS output power must be turned off in order to make this change.

Resolution:

Ensure that UPS output is set to match UPS input in order to ensure proper bypass operation. Adjust Bypass voltage thresholds as needed.
