Issue
Move an IO Scanner DDT (Device DDT) to a derived variable.

Product Line
EcoStruxure Control Expert, M580

Environment
M580, BMENOC0301, Unity Pro 10.0

Resolution
You need to follow some steps if you want to move Device DDT variables created from BMENOC03x1 IO Scanning to a derived variable (DDT). Bellow are the steps that you need to follow:
  • Add the Modbus Device and on Request Setting of BMENOC03x1 choose the amount of words that you need to read/write
  • Define the Item(s) and name
  • Create a Derived Data Type with the same type of Item and the name of each variable, needs to be the same of the name that you created on Item(s). Otherwise, the project won't build due to a data type mismatch
  • You can use a MOVE (Function Block) to transfer the values as shown on the picture
