From version 3.1 of EcoStruxure BMS it is possible to use a multi-version system. This means that you can have an 3.1 Enterprise Server with an attached 3.0 SmartX server.
There are some limitations when you engineer a multi-version system:
Copy and paste
It is not possible to copy and paste objects between servers with different versions.
Custom types
Custom types created in a higher version cannot be checked out on a server with a lower version. If you try to do this, you get the error message “Error dialog Object has wrong type or version at retype. Invalid Operation”
Import
Import can only be done to a higher or the same version.
