How can you set up the EADM software to update an ATV340, ATV630 or ATV930 Drives firmware?

Step 1

Download theEcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance or EcoStruxure Automation Device Maintenance (EN) | Schneider Electric (se.com)

Step 2

Two certificates must also be installed.

Step 3 After you have downloaded the EADM software and certificates to your PC open and run the EADM software and the certificates.

Step 4 Temporary disable your anti-virus firewall. Otherwise, you cannot connect your PC to the Drive using Ethernet.

Step 5 Now open the EADM Software and connect a CAT 5 Ethernet cable to your PC and to the Drives Ethernet port.

Step 6 Setup your PCs Ethernet port with an IP and subnet address under the Ethernet Settings in your PC. Example Choose IPV4 setup and set the address to 192.168.1.2 and subnet address to 255.255.255.0

Step 7 Setup your Drives IP example and subnet address using an VW3A1111 HM in the Communcations and Ethernet settings tab. You must power cycle the Drive after setting up the IP address.

Example settings

Comm Parameters menu then Ethernet:

Device Name: Test example

IP mode: Fixed

IP address: 192.168.1.10

Subnet address: 255.255.255.0

Power cycle the Drive at this point.

Step 8 Open up the EADM software and go into the settings menu.

-Discovery TAB- Make sure that the DPWS and Modbus TCP are both enabled.

Modbus TCP- setup your Drives IP address to find. In this example it will be the Drives IP address 192.168.1.10

Choose: Package Settings: Select the path to the Drives firmware packages.

Step 11:

The Drives firmware packages should now be visible under the "Data Packages" Tab.

Step 12:

Under the Device Loading TAB click on the Device discovery icon to search and find the drives IP address.

Step 13:

Verify that it found the Drive that you searched for. Then click on Set credentials if your Drive has cyber security you will need to enter the username and password to connect.

If cyber security is disabled, you can choose and select Anonymous and connect.

Step 14

Now you can select the Firmware version you want.

Click on the Update Center icon and select Firmware.

Step 15

Choose the Frame size firmware to be updated into the Drive

Example Frame size 1 wall mount is S1- 6 is selected or it will show the ATV6XX U07- C16

Step 16:

Select the drive that needs the firmware updated.

Step 17: Now choose or click on the Update button at the bottom of the page.

Step 18:

If you are in a safe condition, you can choose optional box at the bottom and the firmware update begins.

Step 19 confirm Software update was complete.

Step 2
