How to transfer projects between HMIs that use EOTE?
Issue:
Is it possible to upload the project from a working EOTE HMI to download it to a another HMI?

Product Line:
EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert HMIs product line

Environment:
EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert v3.3 SP1 and higher

Resolution:
Note: As a pre-requesite the 2 panels need to have the same runtime version and the 2 panels have to be the same model number.

Steps to transfer a project file from panel (A) to panel (B):

Transfer from Panel A to Panel B

1. Turn on the panel (A).
2. Insert the external storage in the panel.
3. Open Hardware Configuration screen and touch [USB] in [Upload to]. The file Package.VML is generated in the external storage.
4. From the Hardware Configuration select [Eject] under [USB].
5. Turn on the panel (B).
6. Insert the external storage, which contains the file Package.VML generated from panel (A), in the panel (B).
7. Open Hardware Configuration screen and touch [USB] in [Download from].

After the project has been transferred successfully, the panel restarts and runs the transferred project.

Note: The package.VML created from panel A (Runtime) contains the project file and SRAM data, NOT the OS or runtime module information. If the runtime version and project file is different, the following error will pop up on Panel B: "SYS00009 File missing in Backupfile". Please first update the runtime on panel B by downloading a project.
