Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy management and automation solutions, including those for data centres. To help data centre designers and operators make informed decisions about data centre infrastructure design, we provide a variety of TradeOff Tools. These data centre tools enable users to quantify the tradeoffs with various data centre planning decisions, including the ROI, TCO, sustainability, carbon footprint, and energy efficiency of varying power and cooling architecture choices.

One of our key TradeOff Tools is the data centre capital cost calculator. This data centre tool enables designers to evaluate the cost tradeoffs between different data centre infrastructure design options, such as different cooling and power distribution systems. Another important set of tools are the DCIM value calculators. These tools help quantify the ROI or payback of implementing data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) monitoring and planning / modelling software.

We also offer a variety of data centre tools focused UPS energy efficiency, including the 1PH UPS efficiency comparison and 3PH UPS efficiency comparison. These tools enable decision makers to compare the energy efficiency of different UPSs, considering factors such as operating mode and IT load.
