How do I check the selectivity of circuit breakers in EcoSet Design ?
Understand the selectivity between the downstream and
upstream of the circuit breakers. Selectivity helps to ensure that the electrical
installation remains operational during a fault by isolating only the affected zone. It
also ensure proper coordination between upstream and downstream circuit within
the system.
To check the selectivity of the breakers:
1. Select the downstream circuit breaker on the SLD.
2. Select Curve in Property Sheet.
The curves and selectivity window is displayed.
3. Select the left side of the graph to open the Phase Trip option.
4. Modify the Phase Trip as per your requirement.
5. Select the bottom of the graph to open the Selectivity Result.
NOTE: If full selectivity is not total, change the breaker range or adjust its
settings to ensure selectivity.
