Cause:
The Cisco Nexus 7000 series switches utilize side airflow and required large volumes of air to cool properly. Duct kits are used to help the switches cool efficiently and prevent hot air recirculation.

Resolution:

The Cisco Nexus 7700 series switches use front-to-rear airflow and do not require side airflow duct kits.
