What is the difference between AS and AS-P.

The difference between AS and AS-P are as below :-

  1. In the AS-P, the RS-485 ports have been re-located to the top.
  2. The AS-P has 2 Ethernet ports; port 2 can be used as a switch only as of SBO version 1.81.
  3. AS-P device USB port format changed to mini USB.
  4. Operator Panel port has been removed.
  5. Hardware factory reset has been removed.
  6. AS-P uses pluggable connectors for field buses. (not shown in picture above)
  7. Consider the power consumption. AS-P requires 10 watts, while the Automation Server only required 7 watts.
