Why does my CSH2 battery state of charge change with the load turned off, or no load connected?
Issue: Why does my CSH2 battery state of charge change with the load turned off, or no load connected?

Product Line: CSH2 Smart-UPS Charge Mobile Battery for Microsoft Surface Hub 2

Environment: all models, all serial numbers

Cause: If the CSH2 is disconnected from AC input, and the 24V DC output is turned on, the battery will discharge even if there is no load connected to the CSH2, or if the connected Microsoft Surface Hub 2 is turned off. The expected runtime with the CSH2 on 100% state of charge, 24 V DC output on, no load, on battery (AC input disconnected), is 43 hours.

Resolution: To avoid discharging the CSH2 battery while the load is turned off for an extended period, it is recommended to leave the CSH2 connected to AC input, or to turn off the 24 V DC output.
