Cause

There is a distance limitation from the HDPM6000 Head Unit to the last HDPM6000B Busway module

Resolution

  • In daisy chain format, the maximum distance between the HDPM6000 head unit and the first module on the CAT6 daisy is <30 m (98 ft.). See Figure 1.

  • Maximum up to 14 devices can be installed in a daisy chain.
  • If more than 14 modules are connected on one HDPM6000 bus or the total bus cable length exceeds 30 meters (98 ft.), the bus cable must be installed in a ring. See Figure 2.
    • Note:  In a ring configuration, the cable length between the head unit and the last module (through module 1, 2, etc., not including the cable from the last module back to the head unit) should not exceed 51.2 m (168 ft.).
