Ecostruxure Process Expert for ASP [2023]: How to Resolve Asset Link 4.0 SP1 License detection Issues in ASP
This Knowledge Base article assists users who encounter an issue in a new system setup project where Asset Link fails to detect a valid license, causing the system to operate in trial mode instead of licensed mode.
When this issue occurs, Asset Link does not connect to the license server, and ASP runs with limited functionality.

This issue typically occurs due to one of the following:
- Invalid or trial licenses present in the Floating License Manager.
- Asset Link template version mismatch compared to the installed Asset Link version.
- Older Asset Link templates present in the project, preventing proper license validation.
To verify template please follow below procedure,
Version details:
Ensure the Asset Link template used in the project is compatible with the installed Asset Link version.
Use the following table for reference:

In case any version mismatch is observed on the setup machine, please navigate to the following path:

This Issue is observed in EPE for ASP2023 version. But its applicable to all the versions of Ecostruxure Process Expert Aveva System Platform.
