How to Copy ViewX File > Options Settings from One ViewX Client to Another
ViewX stores its File > Options settings within the Windows user's profile. To copy these settings from one ViewX client to another, first ensure that ViewX is closed on both machines. Then navigate to the following folder on the source workstation:
C:\Users\<WindowsUser>\AppData\Roaming\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA
Copy the configuration files shown in the screenshot from this folder and paste them into the same location on the destination workstation.
This is useful when:
- Deploying a new workstation
- Standardizing ViewX settings across multiple clients
- Migrating guest user's settings,
- Troubleshooting and recreating a ViewX environment
Note that in older versions, the files were stored in:
C:\Users\<WindowsUser>\AppData\Local\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA
