499TWD01100 TwidoPort Bridge May Intermittently Lose its IP Address

Issue
The purpose of this Resolution is to inform users of the 499TWD01100 TwidoPort Bridge that a problem may occur with the module maintaining its IP address.

Some TwidoPort Bridges built before April 2005 may experience a problem losing their IP address. As a temporary workaround, the IP may be recovered by removing and re-installing the cable that connects the TwidoPort to the Twido PLC. There are instances where recovery of the IP may not be possible, and the device has to be replaced.

Resolution
In March of 2005 a vendor notified us that one of their components used in the TwidoPort Bridge was not tested. This has been resolved and the component has been tested in units built in April 2005 and later.

TwidoPort bridges, built before April 2005 and experiencing problems of losing their IP, can be exchanged through your local Schneider office
