Generally speaking the heads and mounting collars cannot be mixed, whereas the contact blocks are the same across both ranges. To be sure, check the product catalogues for available accessories to go with your operator heads.

There is also earthing to consider. In terms of material, the differences between the XB4 and XB5 ranges:

XB4: Class I, material: metal
XB5: Class II, material: plastic

Therefore, the XB4 pushbuttons must be connected to earth while on the XB5 this is forbidden.

Please be aware that, the Class of the enclosure must match the Class of the pushbutton, so metal enclosures with XB4 metal, and plastic enclosures with XB5 plastic.
