How to view the Error history in an Altivar 600, 900. or 340 drive using the Graphic Keypad.

Issue:

Need to view the error history in the drive to try to determine what was going on in the drive at the time of the error and to view the time and date stamp when the Error occurred.

Product Line:

ATV Process Drives (ATV600 and ATV900 series, all models)

ATV340 Machine Drives (all models)

Environment:

VW3A1111 Graphic Keypad must be used

Cause:

Investigating status of the drive when an error was recorded.
Reviewing previous errors.

Resolution:

Accessing the Error History using the VW3A1111 Graphic keypad:

This is the layout and definition of the buttons on the keypad.

Press the Home button to get to the Main Menu, scroll down to select 3 Diagnostics.

Press OK to view the Diagnostic Data screen. Notice the Errors tab directly above the F2 button.

Press the F2 button to open the Error history. As shown in the image of the keypad above, the Function keys are the 4 blank buttons directly below the display. Their function changes based on where you are in the menu.

The most recent error is at the top, and previous errors are shown below.

If the drive has had the Date and Time programmed properly (here's an FAQ for that), there will be a meaningful time stamp when the error occurred.

After highlighting one of the errors, you can push the OK button to view details that will indicate what the drive was doing at the time of the error.

Scroll through the list to see all data that was saved.
