How to perform a health test on a VigiPacT earth leakage addon device

Please note that when the test button holds in when pushed does not confirm it is functional. Please follow the procedure as below to check the health of the VigiPacT module:

1. The test to be performed preferably at a test voltage greater than 30V A.C (Safety precautions to be followed when testing)
2. Press the test button on the VigiPacT module
3. The breaker should trip and the Reset Push button Pops out.
4. The breaker can’t be closed unless the Reset button on the VigiPacT module is pressed again.

The VigiPacT module will work satisfactorily even in case of unbalanced load. An unbalance in the phase will cause a current in the neutral and the vectorial sum will be always zero.

Hence the VigiPacT will not nuisance trip.

It is not possible to check the healthiness of the VigiPacT without voltage. Minimum voltage requirement is 30V A.C
